ÉXODO

ÉXODO

The paradigm that represents consciousness, action and creation opens up, in the sense of giving the passage through life a full meaning and accepting, with the passing of time, the path as a return.

To take on the journey as the true nature of oneself in order to now retrace one’s steps in other landscapes. Reassuming the commitment, as a point of reflection in the migratory processes that is the object of rejection, of a global society that observes blinded by ideals, customs and borders.

soliloquio-3

SOLILOQUIO

SOLILOQUIO

Soliloquio is a work in which the external and internal world of the human beings are intertwined; everything tangible, visible, the thoughts and feelings that escape our perception are on display for the outside world.

This duality is embodied in the contrast between flamenco and contemporary dance.

Both artistic disciplines, are divergent in style, but complementary in the work.

Two sides of the same coin represent the expressed behavior and the voice of the inner world. Temperament and strength, sweetness and delicacy are related and merged to show the complex mechanisms of the human being.

4 POR CUATRO

4 POR CUATRO

“4 for Four” reveals these four ways of thinking, four characters, four sensitivities, four different vibrations (in analogy with the four cardinal points, the four spices, the four arithmetic rules, the four sevillanas).

These “4”, symbol of the human world, unite and form a common element, a square, a symbol of the terrestrial world.

Sustained by a compass of 4, it escapes from this union, a deeper and more spiritual, more spherical secret intimacy.

MIRADA VERTIGINOSA

MIRADA VERTIGINOSA

A dizzying look opens up the problem of looking beyond a system delimited by collective beliefs and preconceived concepts.

Outside this system, what is it?

Vertigo, precipice, other beliefs, other concepts.
Release, parole or cage, wings open or broken?
Integrity, fear, loneliness, guilt, anguish, weakness, vitality, passion, doubt, anger, fidelity?

Reality is not how you think it is, but how it is.

Are you then adrift? Yes…

“Masters of the helm of our ship and aware of our possibilities but unable to chart a reliable course.”
(Jorge Bucay)

…but by having an active concern for your existence, you do not delimit it between narrow walls of collective beliefs, but you leave your spirit escape, structure and restructure.

You have a rope, like umbilical cord but also as a loop that allows you to freely go down to the bottom of the well, explore the darkness and in that same way climb up to approach the light… like falling down and getting up.

You trace with a chalk a secure perimeter, where you find your peace, your center. Then you like to look for that vertigo, look up at the sky, get dizzy, forget about time, feel alive and so close to a happy death? Because freedom is the very essence of the human being.

To be happy, will it not be to feel the conviction of being on the right path?

But…

“They call you a demon or they call you a god: It’s the price you pay for being misunderstood.”
(Richard Bach)

SHIN GI TAI

Compagnie Chantal Goudard en collaboration avec le Dojo Juan Carmona Chiclana

“Shin gi tai” intertwines the body, spirit and technique of Karate and dance. Shin gi tai sits at the intersection of art and space, rhythm and meditation, movement and breathing…above all the subtle and precise connections between the mind and the body.

Each muscle contains a memory and soul, through this the movement transmits emotions and noble values.

“Shin gi tai” brings together the Chantal Goudard Dance Company and the Karatekas of the Juan Carmona Chiclana Dojo in order to explore and investigate this artistic field.

H2O

H2O

It’s the meeting of two molecules that creates H2O.

Water makes life, like air, earth and fire.

Water, precious element, that runs every moment in our body, in our eyes and mouth.

Your disappearance from this source of well-being is imminent…

Overnight those two molecules will separate and life will no longer exist.

RESPIRO DE ESENCIA

RESPIRO DE ESENCIA

The dancing body is a place where cultures, influences, the history of each one intersect.

The dancing body takes the risk of leaving its mark, breathing aromas of other places, tasting and breathing its essence.

RESPIRO DE ESENCIA is a meeting, a co-production between two artists: Chantal Goudard (Contemporary Dance) and Javier Sánchez (Flamenco) where each component contributes some of their art, some of their being… giving shape to a lot of sensations embodied in our music and our dance.
